In the year 2000 VBK Hoorn and Nijhuis pompen realized the extension of 2 pumps to the Gemaal IJmuiden, Nijhuis was responsible for all mechanical parts, pumps & power supply for this project.
QCS Consultancy was involved on behalf of Nijhuis in both prefabrication of the parts like the anti-return flaps at the Sea side, the hydraulic doors in the pump tunnels and the trash racks at the canal side.
On site QCS consultancy was responsible for construction management and took care of installation of the prefabricated materials, installation of the Transformers/Frequency converters, cooling system for the Frequency converters, Transport and lift of the pumps and coordinated the testing.
Capacity per pump 50 Meter cubic per second.
